Stickman Roof Runner for iOS is a simple and straightforward replay game that's highly addictive, but reaches its expiration date rather quickly. Run a stickman from rooftop to rooftop and go as far as you can before you smack into the side of a building. The play is irreverent, fun, and monotonous.
Stickman Roof Runner presents in landscape mode to deliver a very simple gaming environment that's pleasing to the eye. As the story goes, you're a little stickman running form someone, or something; no one knows, no one cares. Basically, all you gotta do is leap and bound from one rooftop to the next and try not to mess up. There are all sorts of different obstacles, like scaffolds, tunnels, walkways, and an array of rooftops. The occasional jetliner may fly on by, and as you get deeper into the game, lookout for debris in your path that you'll have to jump over too, lest it trip you up. The play is fast-paced and addictive, but also gets old, fast.
The controls employ screen taps to bring on the bound; just tap to jump, and time it right or you'll go splat and plummet to your death. The animation and graphics are stickman stuff; so simple, crude and entertaining too. The sounds offered minimal punctuation to the play.
Stickman Roof Runner will entertain for a few minutes before it gets utterly boring. This is a quality game, there just isn't much here to hold interest over the long haul.
