Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for iOS presents an interactive plot that changes based on the choices you make. Explore your environment, complete missions, and fight the evil Empire. This one has a lot going for it in the imagination and intrigue departments.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic presents in landscape mode to deliver a fully realized, interactive story, that changes based on the choices you make. As the story goes, you awaken in a starship, and seem to have a selective memory with how and why you're here. You're not necessarily the most loyal soldier to the Republic, but your commander prods you to do the right thing and get with the program. Your mission, is to explore your environment, collect objects that can help you along the way, and make textual choices that drive the plot forward. The premise plays out sorta like an interactive comic book of sorts, and is highly intriguing. Naturally, you'll encounter the Empire before long, and blasters will fire copious laser shots. Win each battle to advance the plot and save the day.
The controls are highly sophisticated, yet utterly simple and effective. There's a visual guide depicting how they work and I suggest you refer to it often until you get the hang of things. The graphics are highly detailed and look quite good. The animation is equally refined, but I did encounter the occasional stutter and hang. The sounds are pure Star Wars, through-and-through, so, excellent and effective.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a quality gaming experience set to perhaps the most successful sci-fi folklore of all time. There's a lot here to love, and it will certainly entertain.
