The Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout for iOS is a nicely presented exercise app focused on basic calisthenics and custom built programs, aimed at helping you reach your fitness goals. This one is decent, but arguably useless.
The Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout is a completely competent fitness app, however, it really doesn't present much new or novel, outside of a marginally innovative interface. The app presents in portrait mode to depict a stopwatch style environment. This one is all about the circle with the disappearing dots, denoting time, and the seconds on a stopwatch dial. All the exercises are presented within that circle, and are of the simple calisthenic variety. Just set your current fitness level, target goals and you're off and running. Well, running in place, but still running. The app truly doesn't offer much by way of originality in the workouts themselves, but the app can help keep you focused and on-target.
The menus are nicely laid out with some innovative elements to them. I just wish the workouts showed as much originality, however, the menus were somewhat intuitive, pleasing to the eye and easy to follow. There's audio instruction to accompany the onscreen video demonstrations, and I loved the music player integration that sets your own personal score to these basic workouts.
The Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout might be ideal for hotel room workouts while traveling. No one is gonna make Mr. Universe with this one, but at least you'll be moving and making an effort.
