Icycle: On Thin Ice for iOS is a silly and funny puzzle game that features a naked guy on a tricycle. Safely guide this three-wheeling dude through an arctic maze before he freezes his 'nads off. This one is entertaining, and will make you laugh at the utter stupidity of it all.
Icycle: On Thin Ice presents in landscape mode to deliver a goofy and funny gaming premise. You see, there's this guy, riding his tricycle in the dead of winter, wearing nothing but a scarf. And I would think his first objective, would be to not freeze his pecker off on that ice cold seat. But no, he's more concerned with finding his snowman's head, that went rolling down a frozen looking rainbow mountainside. Your mission, is to help this goofball ride his little tricycle through a side scrolling maze of moving ice blocks to bound and wiggle your way through an array of frigid obstacles. There's lots of moving platforms, cool triggers, and visual intrigue that keep things comically interesting. Each level brings something new, and the game is truly unlike anything I've seen before. So that's good.
The controls are simple, employing left and right directional arrows on the left, and a jump button on the right. All was responsive and functioned well. The graphics are really cool and highly evolved. But at times, the views are rather distant, making it hard to decipher all the nice details we should be enjoying. The animation is comical and rendered smoothly. And the sounds just flat out made me laugh at times.
Icycle: On Thin Ice is just stupid fun; dolling out both elements in equal helpings.
