Godfire: Rise of Prometheus for iOS makes no bones about it: this one is all about gratuitous violence and bloodshed. Go head-to-head in mythic swordplay against menacing enemies in this fantasy combat killer. Make no mistake, this one's not for little kids, even though they're gonna wanna play it real bad.

Godfire: Rise of Prometheus presents in landscape mode to deliver a high quality 3D combat environment that looks like something straight outta the 300 movie franchise. As the story goes, you are a tattooed and muscled warrior out for blood. Your weapon of choice? A trusty, 70 pound sword, cuz it's efficient at slicing and dicing with the fewest slashes and gashes. Combat happens in the round, with you at the center of the action. Make short work outta your enemies, who come at you 3 at a time. It's not really a fair fight though, cuz they shoulda come at you in fours if they wanted a fighting chance.

The controls are highly evolved and thoroughly effective. Yes, there is a learning curve here, but nothing serious, with the promise of outstanding fun in return for your investment of time. The graphics and animation are also outstanding, delivering dramatic lighting, glorious details, and smooth renders throughout. The sounds just about made me crap my pants, but then I remembered I'm supposed to be a tattooed bad ass with a sword, so I got it together and acted like a warrior.

Godfire: Rise of Prometheus isn't really about anything but killing, and it delivers that in spades.
