Fitbit Coach for iOS is a highly evolved fitness app, brought to your by football great, Tony Gonzalez. Follow step-by-step instruction and reach your fitness goals with this exhaustive, and expensive, workout regimen.
Fitbit Coach has a lot going for it, and just as much working against it. The app presents in portrait mode to deliver a highly sophisticated training environment. Just input your current fitness level, then set your target goals to generate a personalized workout regimen, as presented by Tony Gonzalez. The app features a nice mix of text and imagery, along with video instruction. It also features custom audio tracks aimed at helping motivate and inspire action while working out. Workouts range from beginner to advanced, so there's a little something for everyone.
For the most part, the app functioned nicely throughout, though I did run into persistent lags within the interface, along with persistent buffering issues when trying to play the videos. The truth is, you won't get very far with this one unless you pay the monthly or annual fees, which run at $5 and $40 respectively. The prices aren't exorbitant, however, I consider them to be quite costly for a very basic workout regimen, presented on a cell phone.
Fitbit Coach is a decent app overall, with expert presentation by Tony Gonzalez. However, it's a little pricey for what basically amounts to a collection of calisthenics.
