Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff for iOS is a fairly straightforward game of sim play. Build Peter's town back up to its original glory, before Peter inadvertently burned it all down to the ground. The play is familiar, yet sure to satisfy Family Guy fans to no end.
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is very similar in plot and play to The Simpsons game. Both Homer and Peter accidentally destroy their respective towns, reducing them to a pile of smoldering rubble, and your mission, is to build everything back up again and restore it to glory. To do that, all you gotta do is place structures, evolve buildings, wait for things to construct, or pay to speed up the process. The mechanics of play have been seen hundreds of times before, and this one adds nothing new or original to the table. The most novel element, by far, is the Family Guy themed graphics and plot. All your favorite characters are here, and Peter is sure to run around nude a lot, so fans of the show are sure to be entertained.
The controls employ screen taps to make selections and evolve your town, and they worked well. The graphics look to be straight out of a Family Guy cartoon, with the same quality and content. The animation is equal to the TV show as well, with decent renders but some choppy performance. The sounds are goofy fun, and perhaps the best element of this game.
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff doesn't bring much new to the table. However, the play is solid and fans of this genre of play, and this show, are sure to be entertained.
